Travel plan
In the morning after breakfast, we will travel from Fez to the city of Meknes, the third imperial city of Morocco which is known as "The Versailles of Morocco" with its famous gate. You will explore Bab El Khamis and Bab El Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later, we will go to the town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, which is a place of pilgrimage for Moroccans. Then you can explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. We will continue our way to Ouezzane through the Rif mountains, while enjoying the views and landscapes of the fertile olive plains. In Chefchaouen, you will admire this mountainous city, where you will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
After breakfast on the terrace of your hotel while you enjoy a magnificent view of Chefchaouen, a mountain town in the heart of the Rif, noted for its Andalusian architecture of whitewashed houses in white and indigo blue, we will explore the medina to get to know its streets, the Uta el-Hammam square where the great 15th century Kasbah is located, the Ras el-Maa Waterfall and of course, the color of its shops full of crafts. We will also visit the central square, and the great mosque of the city.
We will visit the famous museum that was built in the 18th century and is a wonderful place surrounded by gardens with a rooftop where you can take photographs and have an excellent view of the city.
We will finish with a mint tea on the terrace of a cafe and you will have the entire afternoon free until dinner time at the hotel where you will stay.
DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – FEZ – AIRPORT
We will leave the beautiful blue city and head towards Fez, the first of the imperial cities that is proud to host one of the oldest universities in the world. Along the way we will visit Volubilis again, and we will be able to see a panoramic view of Moulay Idriss, where we will have lunch.
In the afternoon we will arrive in Fez to enjoy the sunset while visiting places of interest such as the universities of Bou Anania and Attarine, the Nejjarine fountain and the Karaouine mosque, the walls and gates of its medina; or we simply drink tea from a terrace contemplating the entire medina.
Free day until the indicated time of your flight and transfer to the airport.
